Who I Am & What I Believe

Hello, I’m Abiola—a passionate community leader dedicated to transforming lives through education, clean water, and empowerment. I firmly believe that education is the great equalizer and that books are the foundation of a strong, hopeful future. For me, every child in Nigeria deserves the gift of books and the opportunities they unlock, setting the stage for a lifetime of learning and success.

My Journey & Educational Background

My story began in Ibadan, where I attended Saint David’s Primary School, Kudeti, and later Eleta High School Academy. I pursued higher education at the University of Ibadan and Lagos State University, experiences that shaped my early vision of service. Recognized for my leadership potential, I was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship to study at the University of Manchester—a transformative opportunity that broadened my perspective. In April 2003, I moved to the United States, furthering my education at Texas Southern University and the University of Houston, Texas. These academic milestones have fueled my commitment to lifelong learning and community service.

Philanthropic Initiatives & Community Impact

My passion for education and community welfare inspired the creation of several initiatives:

  • Adopt-A-School: This program aims to cultivate a culture of literacy by collecting, sorting, shipping, and distributing books to students of all ages across Nigeria. By ending the book famine, we provide children with the tools they need to broaden their horizons and break the cycle of poverty.
  • Scholarship Programs: We reward hard-working, low-income students with scholarships, ensuring that financial challenges never impede access to quality education.
  • Clean Water Projects: Through my company, Safeway Drilling, we provide sustainable, clean water solutions to schools and communities. With functional wells delivered to educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and SOS Children’s Villages in regions like Ibadan and Ijebu-Ife, we create healthier environments where students can focus on learning instead of sourcing water.
  • Vocational Training & Preventive Healthcare: I support vocational programs that empower youths and women with skills—from leather works and aluminium fabrication to computer studies and cosmetology. Additionally, we offer preventive healthcare services such as screenings for blood pressure, depression, obesity, and substance misuse, ensuring our communities remain strong and resilient.

Vision for the Future & Call to Action

Looking ahead, my vision is to expand these initiatives to create lasting, transformative change. I strive to eliminate educational and water scarcity barriers, empower the next generation through skill training, and enhance community health. I invite you to join me in this journey—whether through small investments, volunteering, or simply spreading the word. Together, we can build a future where every child, youth, and community in Nigeria has the opportunity to thrive.
